The House yesterday passed H.R. 436, a bill to repeal the 2.3% medical device excise tax put in place by the health care law. While we face an uphill battle in the democratic controlled senate to pass a repeal, this was a strong victory for us with a 270-146 vote including 37 Democrats who voted for the repeal (no republican voted against). it is important so many democrats crossed over and this pressure from us will help with democratic Senators. House Democrats of note voting for repeal of the medical device tax include: Kind (Wisconsin), Lipinski (IL), Donnelly (IN), Sutton (OH), Critz (PA), Altmire (PA), Hochul (NY), Tsongas (MA)
